The magnetic brake consists of two discs with six permanent magnets each.
With the throttle at 10-positions you change the distance between these disks.
The pedaling speed or gear for your workout influence on power output.
The Sirius is equipped with a balanced flywheel steel 2 kg which allows a soft pedal.
Plus the wheel is heavier, the inertia is important.

The Sirius was the first Hometrainer Tacx which the brake was equipped with a roll SoftGel noise.
Now, all braking systems Tacx offer this year soft rubber roller surface with its indestructible stainless steel.
The operation is so quiet that the system has been patented and Tacx guaranteed for life against wear.
